Establish a new 400 kV double circuit overhead line from Blackhillock to Peterhead via New Deer. Peterhead and Blackhillock substations will require extension to accomodate termination of the new double circuit. This reinforcement is required as onshore works to faciliate the 2nd Eastern HVDC Link from Peterhead (NOA option reference E4L5)

Replace the conductors on the newly formed Bramford to Twinstead Green to Pelham circuit (Twinstead Tee to Pelham) with higher-rated conductors. This would increase the circuit's thermal rating following the new 400 kV double circuit between Bramford and Twinstead

A new 400 kV double circuit between Bramford and Twinstead

Construct a new 400 kV double circuit between Bramford substation and Twinstead tee point to create double circuits that run between Bramford to Pelham and Bramford to Braintree to Rayleigh Main. Construct a new Grid Supply Point at Twinstead Green to allow UKPN's 132kV overhead line to be decomissioned and removed to allow space for the new overhad line. Construct four new shunt reactors, two at Bramford substation and two at Rayleigh substation. It would increase power export capability from East Anglia into the rest of the transmission system.
