Establishing the Independent System Operator and Planner (ISOP) in GB industry codes 2024

This consultation sets out the proposed modifications to implement changes to the following industry codes (collectively referred to as “the Codes”) to enable the establishment of the Independent System Operator and Planner (ISOP)[1] in accordance with its statutory functions, duties and licence conditions.

 

Modifications are proposed to the following Codes: 

  • Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC)
  • Connection and Use of System Code (CUSC)
  • Distribution Code (D-Code)
  • Distribution Connection and Use of System Agreement (DCUSA)
  • Grid Code
  • System Operator Transmission Owner Code (STC)
  • Security and Quality of Supply Standard (SQSS)
  • Uniform Network Code (UNC)
