Innovate with us: funding available through National Grid Electricity System Operator

National Grid Electricity System Operator (ESO) invites you to participate in our Open Innovation Event on 27 and 28 November 2019 in Birmingham.

We want to partner with academic, industry and other innovators to develop projects that address our electricity innovation priorities. Significant funding is available for successful applications.

The funding application is open now and closes on Friday 1 November 2019.

Applicants that pass the first selection round will be invited to a two day event at the NEC in Birmingham to develop ideas into comprehensive project proposals alongside our subject matter experts.

Your application must focus on one of these priority areas:

1.            Digital Transformation

2.            System Stability

3.            Whole Electricity System

What do I have to do?

Complete our online application form by Friday 1 November.

When will I know if my project has been shortlisted?

We’ll contact you to let you know whether you have been shortlisted by Wednesday 13 November.

Can I submit more than one idea?

Yes, but each idea must be documented on a separate template and must address one of the three priority areas above.
