How we generated electricity in February
In February, wind was our largest source of generation, providing more than a third (34.8%) of our electricity.
Just over half (51%) of electricity came from zero-carbon sources, peaking at 84% on 4 February at 12:30pm.
High usage of renewables allowed the generation of electricity to average at 133gCO2/kWh, the lowest achieved in the last year.
This is a great sign as we head into spring and summer where we can expect renewables to play a greater role in providing our electricity.
Demand for electricity peaked on 7 February at 5:30pm..
