Forecast volumes and costs

On this page we provide a breakdown of operating margin (OPMR), based on forecast volume of reserve, forecast volume of frequency response required, annual weighting factors for STOR contracts, and forecasts of BSUoS charges.

Reserve requirement (OPMR)

From 1st March 2020, Operational Planning Margin Requirement (OPMR) and wind availability files will be published on our new National Grid ESO Data Portal. Please scroll down to OPMR and Wind availability files for daily or weekly.

NRAPM forecast

The purpose of the Negative Reserve Active Power Margin (NRAPM) forecasting report is to indicate to the market a risk of NRAPM situation and therefore risk of Emergency Instructions.

From 1st March 2020, NRAPM (Negative Reserve Active Power Margin) forecast files will be published on our new National Grid ESO Data Portal.
