How we’re performing under our Forward Plan 2018/19
We published the final version of our first ESO Forward Plan in March 2018. Since then, we’ve made considerable progress against our plan.
We’ve been achieving a strong baseline performance, and in many areas, we’ve exceeded it. Our improved processes, greater transparency, and new products and services have helped create real consumer value.
How we report on our progress
We’ve been monitoring our performance and producing reports to show the progress we’ve made on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly basis.
At the mid-year point and at the end of the year a performance panel evaluates five main areas of the ESO’s performance:
- Evidence of delivered benefits
- Evidence of future benefits/progress against longer-term initiatives
- Stakeholder views
- Plan delivery
- Outturn performance metrics and justifications.

Our first Mid-Year Report provides details of our performance against our Forward Plan for the first six months of this year.
